ELSA Freiburg Spring Conference 2017
Bert Van Roosebeke at panel discussion attended by politicians, journalists and law experts on "The future of Europe", Sunday 28th, May, 2017.
Over the past few years multiple problems and concerns have arisen within the European System and not only since recent events such as the Brexit-Votum. In particular we want to discuss whether a European Identity is needed or is even possible. What does it mean to build up a system involving 28 different countries, law systems and cultures? Is it to late to develop new strategies for Europe or has the European Union suffered irreparable damage?
Dr. Bert Van Roosebeke will participate in the panel discussion on Sunday. He is an expert for European financial markets at the Center for European Policy in Freiburg. He is a graduate economist and was a researcher at DFG Graduate School in Law and Economics (Hamburg) and George Mason University (USA).
